Events National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 1st is National Day of Prayer Join For Jamie's Sake as we pray for the Nations children in foster care and officially kick off May
as National Foster Care Month. We will meet for power hour (lunch will be provided) at noon on
Judd Plaza hold prayer time for the 523,000 children in foster care and of those 114,000 children with
parental rights terminated waiting to be adopted. After we finish the prayer time we will tie blue ribbons
on the lampposts on Winchester Ave. to bring awareness to the plight of the children in foster care.

Child Abuse Prevention Month 2008Art Contest Proposal Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky and the state Cabinet for Health and Family Services invites all children in foster care to participate in the annual child abuse prevention month art contest. The goal of this contest is to link art and personal expression to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect through the theme “It Is Your Turn To Make A Difference- Everyone Has A Role To Play In Child Abuse Prevention.” Click here for the complete rules and requirements
You Sure Are Sweet Join For Jamie’s Sake as we recognize fifteen outstanding children with a “You Sure Are Sweet” ceremony. We will be recognizing outstanding children in foster care one child from each of the following counties: Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Elliott, Lawrence, Morgan, Bracken, Mason, Bath, Lewis, Robertson, Fleming, Rowan, Menifee, and Montgomery Are you parenting an outstanding child? Do you know of an outstanding child in foster care and they deserve to be recognized? If so, please fill out the below form and return to For Jamie’s Sake on or before Feb. 8th. The ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 16th from 3-5 at Gattiland in Ashland (Midtown Plaza). All winners will receive a plaque, certificate, and other congratulatory items. Guidelines: The child has been in the foster care system for at least 6 months. The child has lived in your home for at least 3 months or if you are not the foster parent, you have known the child for at least 3 months. The child has accomplished or achieved something you feel is worthy of recognition. Some examples: bringing up their grades since entering your home, making the basketball team, or volunteering in their community to make a difference. Click here to download the flyer
